Planning, design and construction supervision of water supply and ecological sanitation infrastructure rehabilitation projects
Aim of this group of projects is the sustainable improvement of the water & sanitation infrastructure of institutions (Hospitals, Health Centres and Schools). The projects commonly comprise (participatory) planning, decision support, detailed technical design and construction supervision. The implemented concepts target the following main items (according to local requirements):
- Human excreta management
- Waste water and/or greywater management
- Storm water management
- Solid waste management
- Hygiene Behaviour and
- Training
Kalungu Girls Secondary School
Project description: Construction of dry toilets for school children,
demonstration dry toilet for teachers and visitors and waste water treatment.
A main focus was lied on participatory planning, training of trainers, users
and operator.
